I'm a Native American (Cherokee Nation) who enjoys looking at photography & the works of others. Although I do have a interest in it, my husband is the TRUE photographer in our family. But, I watch & learn from him & I'm still learning.

While we both enjoy flim & digital, as well as working with black & whites or color. Our photography styles are completely different. His is more in tuned to people/portraits & the social environment around him. Mine is geared more toward the flora & the fauna..nature in general. But, the bottom line is that, whatever's in the lens that makes you happy is all that matters *smile*

Any comments or suggestions are more than welcomed!.

Hi Mary thank you very much for your support and kind comments, I certainly appear to have caught the editors eye in the last few weeks. I try and to work out what he'll be looking for.the cat featured this week belongs to my daughter she is four years old her original owners emigrated to America,her name is tolur (chosen by their daughter)she's been there three weeks and settled in nicely . the shots were handheld available light 1000 iso.But I don't think we'll do too well this week the first and last photos in the gallery are absolutely wonderful ,as was Belinda the donkey Mary's photo last week. but you can never circumguess what people will vote for .

Hi Mary. I hope you can see from the photos what a character Belinda was. I fell in love (my first ever holiday romance!!) and cried on the day we came home and had to leave her behind....much to hubby's amusement. Anyway, she's probably totally forgotten me by now and is giving all her attention to some other sucker who is buying and feeding her lots of juicy carrots! I'm loving all the new Autumnal shots.....one of my favourite times of the year. Your photos are just getting better and better. Can't wait to see more. Angela x

hello Mary my wonderful American friend,thank you for your comment on Pont-croix it's a small French village in Brittany which to all intents and purposes has stayed still in time.the street pictured is unbelievably steep and it took us some time to get back up (that's where the car was parked )I've just been looking at your latest entry, it so good I think it's possibly one of your best photos,and the harvest festival photo is also very good,the lighting is perfect (a difficult task in this type of photo )

Thank you so much for your kind comments on some of my photos. I loved your gallery. Thank heaven's for digital cameras, it used to cost me a fortune before and now I have thousands of discs, prints, cartridges, slides so much easier this way!! Happy snapping!!

Thanks Mary! I actually 'snapped' the scene a couple of years ago when I wasn't really into photography, so I was surprised when it made the top ten. Thank you for the wonderful comments as always. The little frog is going to be one of my all time favorites, I was so happy when I saw the little dude...have been wanting to get a frog shot for soooo long without much success and then wa-la, just caught him (barely) out of corner of my eye while one of my walks.
Tell me more about this weekly AOL gallery/contest(s) that you have been mentioning, is there a link to the contest? Is it under a specific tag? Would love to learn more about it. I did not know it existed.
Really enjoy the shots of Native American heritage, they are truely beautiful

I only found out last night on returning home my picture been chosen, we've been away in our caravan so was pleased to see to have had another picture chosen ,
unfortunately not doing too well ,so try again next week to thank you for your support. only home for five days we're going to France for three weeks to find some some sun weave a very wet summer our second in a row, as the weatherman says the country is lush,
